Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Memoricano, operated by Mindfold Apps ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
Memoricano turns study material you provide (documents, pasted text, or video transcripts) into chunked lessons, recall quizzes, brain-dump grading, and spaced-repetition reviews. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where practical.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information. One person may maintain one free account; creating multiple accounts to bypass limits is a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Memoricano Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly ($14.99) or yearly ($143.90). Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments; we do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Free Plan
The free plan includes one study session and one Memory Bean. Upgrading to Pro unlocks unlimited sessions, larger uploads, and longer texts.
6. Acceptable Use
You may only use the service for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of the material you upload. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you — including passing it to AI providers to generate chunks, quizzes, and feedback. You represent that you have the rights to all content you upload and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
8. AI-Generated Content
Chunks, quizzes, scores, and reports are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or imperfect. They are study aids, not academic or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying material you rely on. AI outputs are provided "as is".
9. Intellectual Property
The Memoricano name, logo, design, and software are owned by us. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service or its content without written permission.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.
